Vintage Outboard Engines - Johnson, Neptune, Evinrude Elto (N Seattle) $185  ...more
Vintage Outboard Engines This trio of antique boat motors bring back the early days of powered boating. Before these came along you had to strain your back rowing around the lake. The working condition of these is unknown, they have been sitting in storage for decades. The Johnson has a cracked case, the Evinrude doesn't want to turn over - more details in the individual listings. 1935 Evinrude / Elto Sportsman 4091 1.5hp Outboard Engine This is an outstanding little antique outboard. It would be perfect for that old canoe or rowboat, or to display in your trophy room on the wall. The condition appears to be original and never restored. The hood / cover is missing and the tiller handle is broken at the base. I can only assume it is 100% complete and would be a perfect restoration candidate. Elto is the company Evinrude had formed and was made in Milwaukee. This engine is a model no. 4091 and serial no. 0627. It is a single (1) cylinder engine making 1.5 horsepower and weighs about 25 lbs. There doesn't appear to be any engine failure such as a split case, but I cannot guarantee the condition of the internal parts or the working condition. The motor turns over nicely, but I have not yet checked the compression or spark. Buyer assumes risk when purchasing. $185 Click on any image to open a large version in a new window
1938 Neptune 2A38 2hp Outboard Engine This is a great little antique motor. It would be perfect for that old canoe or rowboat, or to display in your trophy room on the wall. The condition appears to be original and never restored. I can only assume it is 100% complete and would be a perfect restoration candidate. Neptune was made by the Muncie Gear Company in Muncie, Indiana. This engine is a model no. 2A 38 and serial no. B 334. It is a single (1) cylinder engine making 2 horsepower and weighs about 30 lbs. There doesn't appear to be any catastrophic failure such as a split case, but I cannot guarantee the condition of the internal parts or the working condition. The motor does not want to turn over, but I don't want to force it without knowing the problem. Buyer assumes risk when purchasing. $105 Click on any image to open a large version in a new window 1937 Johnson 210 3.3hp Outboard Engine Very cool but unfortunately damaged Johnson outboard engine. It would be perfect for parts or to display in your garage or trophy room on the wall. The condition appears to be original and never restored. I can only assume it is 100% complete and would be a perfect parts engine. Made by the Johnson Motor Company in Waukegan, Illinois. This engine is a model no. 210 and serial no. 200841. It is a two (2) cylinder engine making 3.3 horsepower and weighs about 35 lbs. There is a split in the water jacket case, so this engine is NOT in working condition. I have no idea if someone could weld the crack and get the engine running. Can be used for parts or as a display piece, but as always buyer assumes any risk when purchasing. $85 Click on any image to open a large version in a new window Here are a few images of a beautifully restored Johnson 210:

21.5 Eliminator Mojove Day Cruser (Covington) $10  ...more
21.5' Eliminator Mojave - price $10,000 OBO

454 I/O ALPHA ONE great looking hull minor scrapes and scratches nothing that obvious or out of the ordinary for a boat this age still shines and shows beautifully with shades of blue on white gel. Absolutely no issues with drive or motor. Want a Cadillac for the water this is it, massive torque scoots across the water 60 mph + with style and comfort dual gas tanks 25 gal each for long range. It has served as our family cruiser for 22 years+ I have am the second owner of this boat, has had nothing but good outings with it. Never in Salt is a nice comfy cruiser for the river, lakes and the sound. The interior is in fair condition on deck and excellent in the V-berth area that seats 4 underneath and those seats are in great condition re-done in 2005. The Captain's Chair needs rebuilding the piping around the edge of the sundeck need to be re- stitched. All normal use stuff use as you can see in the pics. Boat also has a great looking Bimini top that has been used once and is stored in a cover. I have been restoring this boat for the last 3 years so far, new; sub floor, carpet, ski locker, rebuilt out drive, water pump, complete overhaul gears the lower unit, new hydraulic trim/tilt pump, carb, hoses, 2 new marine batteries; It sits on a tandem easy tow trailer 4 new tires on trailer, new bunks with Capet, bearings replaced and repacked, in excellent condition. Windshield and stainless in great shape, comes including 2 sets of skis, 2 tubes, ropes, bumpers, lights, fire extinguisher, 4 ski jackets 10 safety life vest all in excellent condition. Both boat and trailer are in very good condition. Boat needs the captain's chairs re-built and ignition switch replace along with TLC for a 23yo boat that will turn heads anyplace you go. I'm a very motivated seller, kids are teenagers now and I'm divorced not enough time for boating. I live in Seattle but grew up in Rancho Cordova California where the boat stayed at my other home until I recently brought it up here. Have current tabs on both boat and trailer along with a cover. I bought the boat for 32,000 in 1992. I am asking 10,000 or Best offer.

Hesperis is a one of a kind gem of a boat with great potential. I have traveled as far south as Seattle and as far north as Bella Coola B.C. aboard Hesperis and lived aboard for 8 wonderful years in the San Juan Islands. Mostly based out of Friday Harbor I'd spend the majority of the summer months anchored out and take weekend trips the rest of the year. She's not what I would call a big project, however she needs someone with the resources and inclination to repair the injection pump and catch up with some maintenance that wooden boats are known for. i.e. Painting, new swim step, steering system (works but is aging) Seal some minor window leaks, engine pencil Zinks, a general "once over" systems that have been sitting for a few years.
The engine work would get you out on the water. Some elbow grease and a small investment would produce a ship shape livaboard or weekend cruiser worthy of the inside passage to Alaska.
Thanks for looking,
Ebony

♦ Three person kayak ♦ used Seascape 3 ♦ (San Juan Islands) $4199  ...more
We have a couple of Seascape 3 triple kayaks for sale at great prices. For $4199 we have one that has been very lightly used for just three months and has a glacier blue deck. For $4399 we have another that has been on the water only a few times and has a Caribbean green deck. Both have white hulls and black trim, and a custom package of features installed that includes: special backbands that replace the standard backrests; 2 extra bulkheads (4 total) for added safety; clear protective film on high-wear deck areas; a removable seat that converts the center cockpit into a cargo tandem for longer expeditions (or for carrying the family dog). Retail cost of a Seascape 3 as we have them outfitted is $4750 so these are great prices for kayaks in excellent condition!

The Seascape 3 is very similar to the tandem model Seascape Expedition, but with some useful distinctions. The SS3's main difference is the third cockpit that allows three people to paddle the boat. The SS3 is both slightly longer and narrower, providing an even faster hull speed. In fact, this is one of the fastest multi-person sea kayaks in production today. The deck is also a bit lower to reduce its profile in windy conditions.

The Seascape 3 is a highly versatile kayak. It can be used as a very fast expedition tandem by using the middle cockpit to store gear. Families often choose this boat as the center cockpit is ideal for safely taking out children, seniors, and the family dog! The extra cockpit is also ideal for persons with disabilities who want to experience the enjoyment of kayaking. And finally, three able-bodied paddlers can really make this boat fly so it is very popular with adventure team racers!

For an extra $449 we can add a set of paddles, life jackets, and spray skirts for three persons. The total package is about a third less than the retail cost when new (retail cost of a Seascape 3 alone as outfitted is $4899!). Although the kayak was used for a few months this past summer, it is in excellent shape and still possesses a lifetime of usefulness. Our boats are always used under careful supervision by our professional guides and have never been rented, abused or damaged.

★ Tempest and Discover ★ Used Solo Sea Kayaks ★ (San Juan Islands) $1399  ...more
These are the best high performance solo kayaks in the world and they are even made in America! Foreign-made kayaks, especially those made in the UK and China, are fraught with quality-control problems, something most professional kayaker guides like us have learned the hard way.

Tempest kayaks are made of indestructible polyethylene which makes them well suited for rocky landings, surf conditions, or other difficult conditions. Discover kayaks are made with fiberglass using the most advanced techniques. Both of these solo kayaks have been used exclusively by professional guides and have never been abused. They are in great shape and still have their factory shine!

Nearly new Tempest 170 and Tempest 165 are available for $1399. They have been used from as little as 1 month to 1 week! All Tempest colors were selected for excellent visibility and safety on the water so we only use red, orange and mango boats. The Tempest kayak series are based on traditional Greenland Inuit design as modified by the British school of kayaking. These kayaks are much smaller in volume than the Discover which is described below. Tempests are the best choice for paddling in extreme conditions by persons with well developed bracing skills. The Tempest 165, being the shortest, narrowest, and having the most pronounced rocker is particularly well suited for playing in surf and rock gardens. Both are great for paddling in high winds, rips, and tidal races. Both of the Tempests are fantastic for paddling on camping trips with full loads, but their capacity is more limited than our Discover kayaks.

We have one Discover with a glacier blue deck that has been used strictly by pro guides for just 4 months and is selling for $2399. Others have either an oyster white or Caribbean green deck, both used for 3 months, and sell for $2499. The Discover costs $3200 when new so these are excellent savings for well-cared for kayaks. Our Discover solo kayaks have custom fiberglass bulkheads for extra strength and durability. Also, the standard backrest has been replaced by a custom backband. The Discover is also a Greenland Inuit design, but modified by the American school of kayaking so it is equipped with larger hatches and a flip-up rudder. The long waterline and narrow beam makes the Discover quite speedy. The Discover carries a huge load for extended camping trips, but they are nimble enough for day paddling.

For another $229 we can add a gear package that includes a paddle, life jacket, and neoprene spray skirt that are all of top quality and in excellent condition and used only for a couple of months by guides.

OMC Duratank 6 gallon fuel tank (Duvall) $55  ...more
This is an OMC Duratank which holds six gallons of fuel. I have two of these and only need one. This tank is very well made, and designed to work with alcohol mixed gasoline. It has a fuel gauge as well as the proprietary OMC/Johnson/Evinrude tank fitting.
New ones sell for about $85 so my asking price seems reasonable. These tanks are incredibly difficult to find in the Seattle area, I don't know why that is, but it took me 8 months to find one, then I found this one and bought it because I knew it fit in the fuel locker on my boat. However, I don't have a good place on the boat to store a second tank so I'm selling this one.

If you have questions or would like more photos, please send me email at the link above.

I'm also selling a Seaward propane locker on CL.
