The ASUS 1001PX 10.1" notebook comes with a 250 GB hard drive, 1.66 ghz Atom processor with 1 GB of DDR2 RAM running Windows 7 Starter. I have upgraded this netbook as much as possible for this wonderful little machine.
UPGRADES: Windows 7 Starter is awful. Way too limited and VERY little features. I purchased and upgraded this machine to the official WINDOWS 7 ULTIMATE edition (as you will see in the photos). WINDOWS 7 ULTIMATE runs beautifully on this computer with an
almost endless amount of features.
This machine ships with 1GB of DDR2 RAM. I purchased and replaced it with a 2GB stick of DDR2 RAM (as you will also see in the photos) and is the maximum amount of RAM that can go in this machine, which makes it MUCH faster and extremely
smooth.
This is a PERFECT computer for a home user or for someone usually on the go. The upgrades I have installed make for a flawless experience and with a 250 GB hard drive this netbook is impossible to beat for the price and at 10.1" it is unbelievably portable.
I take excellent care of my electronics to the point of being obsessive about it. This machine is in FLAWLESS/MINT condition. Just like it came out of the box. In fact, I still have the original ASUS box and will return it there for whoever purchases it.
