1987 Aquasport 250 Express Fisherman Walkaround Cuddy (Fayetteville) $8500  ...more
This listing is for my 1987 Aquasport 250 Express Fisherman walkaround cuddy cabin boat everything I have for deep sea fishing goes with it. The boat runs great, I just had a new starter installed, reworked the tilt and trim complete with new fluid, replaced fuel level sending unit in tank, installed new raw water wash down pump and new deep cycle marine battery. The motor is a 5.7 liter 250 hp mercruiser inboard/outboard with alpha one outdrive showing 403 hrs on the meter and runs absolutely flawless. We can run this boat all day long and use only about 60 gallons of fuel. The most I have ever used in a day was 78 gallons and that was going 35 miles out at 22 knots to frying pan tower trolling all day at the tower and running 22 knots back in against 3 to 5 foot seas. I'm telling you this thing sips gas and holds 120 gallons. It has hydraulic trim tabs on transom and a huge teak swim platform. It has a walkaround cuddy cabin that sleeps 2 adults and a child tightly, cabin has a sink which we've never used, an ice box frig which we use for storage, and a porta-jon which stows under the sleeping area. It has been winterized every year when stored which included fresh oil and fuel stabilizer treatment. It has only had non-ethanol marine fuel run in it bought straight from the marina but it is equipped with a water separator. It comes with a total of 7 rods and reels, 6 are Okuma 4:0 reels which are in great shape, 2 were just restrung with 25lb green trilene mono. The other rod and reel is a 6:0 Penn Super Mariner #49 reel and Penn Super Slammer rod. There are 5 tackle boxes of tackle which go with it which contain everything from carolina rigs and weights for bottom fishing to Mahi and King rigs for Tournament fishing there's literally just too much to list. It has Walker Downriggers with 8 lb weights rigged with clips, comes with stainless gaff, insulated fish bag, life ring, life vests, first aid kit, so on a so forth, you can pick this boat up and head straight to the ramp for a full day of ocean fishing. It currently has approx 100 gallons of fuel in it and ready to go. As far as electronics it has a Sea ranger VHF radio, Hummingbird LCR 8000 bottom/fish finder, Garmin GPSmap 398 with sonar. Everything on the boat works and I will guarantee the boat to run when picked up. The trailer is a 1998 Karavan tandem 7k set up for surge brakes which are currently NOT working. One of the lines apparently rusted through and I have never took the time to fix it. I kept the boat at a storage facility less than a mile from the marina so the trailer brakes were never a huge issue. I pull the boat with a 1997 GMC Z71 and it pulls it and stops it just fine. I bought the boat 3 years ago and pulled it from Delware to North Carolina with no problems and just towed it from Southport, NC to Fayetteville, NC with no issues.

The specs for the boat are

Overall length = 26'4"

Beam = 8'

Draft = 12"

Fuel Capacity = 120 gals

Hull Type = Deep V

Transom Height = 25"

Dry weight = 2900 lbs

Max capacity = 2250 lbs

Deadrise = 19*

Only reason for sale is that I live over 2 hours from the coast and it's just getting too difficult to get down there to use it. I have decided to buy a pontoon boat instead and stick to the local lakes and Cape Fear river therefore I am open to possible trade for a pontoon boat of equal value. Boat was last used in the 2011 US Open King Mackerel tournament and is currently winterized. New owner will not be displeased especially for the price. Title to both boat and trailer are clear and in hand.
