If you are mechanically inclined you can get a rebuilt kit from ebay. If not it will be $800-$1000 to replace. It does not affect the drive of the boat. NADA value is low 6290 and average 7050. The price has been discount because of the trim cylinder. Serious inquires only price is firm.

For sale 1964 Shoup fully restores boat. This boat was built is Ahoski NC. It is mahogany wood, and has all original fixtures/equipment and are in new working condition. The boat has original 1964 Evinrude 75 HORSEPOWER Stare Flite Elec Shift in very good working condition. Just serviced with lower unit oil change, carb kits/adjustments,plugs,wires, water pump. Runs good. Starts 1st time. Boats top speed is 33 PMH. original metal Evinrude/OMC gas cans. 1 in like-new condition 2 are rusty inside and need cleaning before use. Boat has new interstate batteries, and new trailer. This boat was refitted with new wood bottom in late 2010 withWest Sys. Paint pre-owned is Inter Lux Marine and ten coats of Epipanes varnish. Floors are Mahogany, entire floor is hinged allowing for 6 storage compartments also storage in bow and under both bench seats. Windows have new glass in them. Boat also comes with mooring cover and shows some wear around zipper.
