GI Joe Adventure Team Headquarters by Hasbro 1972 (Minnetonka - Ridgedale) $110 ...more
This circa 1972 GI Joe play set, for a 12 inch Joe, was played with but cared for and is in nice overall condition It is mostly complete, pretty clean and scratch-free, and graphics are bright.
Includes the parts shown in the images:
- Chair, pole and pole bottom support piece
- Gas nozzle with hose, and the headphones with cord
- 3 maps and map table including the (usually missing) cardboard table base
- 3-tiered storage racks and overhead hanger with 8 hooks and 3 coat hangers
- Searchlight (works, sort of, if you hold the switch right) -- corrosion-free battery compartment
- The 2 case closure clasps are intact
There are some issues:
- Missing 1 of the 4 slide-in tabs that hold the top section up (have an orange plastic substitute)
- Very top front corners of the plastic "glass" are cracked/split
- Piece holding the top of the chair pole was broken off but was plastic-glued back on (likely is not as strong as it was originally)
- The protrusion to connect the gas hose to the building appears broken off a bit and the hose has a split on that end, so it doesn't stay attached (no doubt there's an easy work-around for this).

I bought this several years ago to be used as part of a Halloween costume but never ended up using it. I think I've worn it for a total of 20-30 minutes since I bought it. (I look ridiculous in it.)
