I have used disposable diapers on 2 babies and cloth diapered 1. Although I have less leaks with the cloth diapers I have experienced it all.
Currently, I cloth diaper and love it! When my son became a tummy sleeper about a month ago I was frustrated because he leaked out the tummy. I was frustrated with all diapers leaking at some point or another. Then I found that fleece covers that covered above the tummy and leg area of these other diapers resolved the problem and realized that I love fleece. Fleece is mostly used for cloth diapering but can be used with all babies along with helping ALL mommies with the number 1 problem of bed wetting at nap time or night time. By putting these fleece covers on top of your disposable or PUL/TPU cloth diapers. Currently, they are great for overnight with all diapers except fitted cloth diapers and pre-fold cloth diapers. With fitted and pre-folds they are great for daytime and work for up to 6 hours. I am waiting on an order of special fleece to experiment with the fitted and pre-fold cloth diapers and hope to resolve it within the next month. Until then I use one with a higher raised on the tummy for overnights on top of his pul pocket diaper and love that I don't have to change bed sheets or wake up to change my son's clothes at 3 am along with sheets. And to top is off they look cute on their little bums!
These fleece covers are great for blowouts. If your baby has a blowout you can just wipe it off with a wipe and re-use or you can wash it in the sink and hang dry on your stroller (if your out and about).
Also, Check out the photo with and without leg gussets. I feel they are important on these covers.
